Gauteng to enjoy sunshine and mild heat

Gauteng residents can look forward to a mostly sunny Tuesday, with weather temperatures expected to range between the upper 20s and lower 30s. According to weather forecaster Joel Guy, the province is expected to remain dry, while other regions are forecast to experience scattered showers.

“Gauteng is going to see more sunshine than cloud this Tuesday, with temperatures in the upper 20s and lower 30s,” said Guy. He added that the pleasant conditions will provide some relief compared to the recent hot spells.

The South African Weather Service reports that the region will remain stable, with only light winds expected in isolated areas.

Weather warning: Fire danger in the Northern Cape and the Free State

Guy warned of high fire danger conditions for the eastern parts of the Northern Cape and the western Free State.

“We’re urging residents in those areas to be careful with fires, as temperatures will be sizzling hot,” he said.

Although Gauteng will not face the same fire threat, residents are still encouraged to stay hydrated and avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight during midday hours.

Warm Start to Mid-October

The province’s warm and dry weather is expected to continue through the week, with mild nights and hot afternoons.

Motorists have also been advised to take precautions on the road as the combination of heat and glare could reduce visibility.
