TikTok is a weird old place, but the new bird trend that’s gone viral this weekend has to be the strangest yet.
After making photos with Ghostface using AI and pranking people that a homeless man has walked into their house, people are now pretending they’re a bird perched on their partner’s arm. Yes, it’s a real thing.
The viral trend involves turning yourself into a bird, so your hands are the claws, and then tweeting along to a song called bring It Back by Travis Porter. People have got too much time on their hands.
It’s really confusing everyone, and people just can’t figure out how you make your entire body invisible. So, here’s exactly how to do the TikTok trend.

Here’s how to do the weird viral bird on arm trend from TikTok
To do the trend, you’ve got to rest your legs up behind you so they’re perfectly covered by your body, meaning they’re not visible in the video. You do this by leaning them up against a wall.
The other person needs to be sitting down on a chair with one of their arms laid out across the table. Then, you place your hands on their bare arm to balance yourself.
You can use your feet to hold some of your weight on the wall, but the person with their arm on the table will be holding a lot of your weight too.
It’s best to but your phone on a tripod on the table pointing directly at you both. You’ll need to start recording before getting into position, then edit this footage out later.
Here’s a video example to follow. It’s actually nowhere near as hard as it looks.

And here’s another tutorial. It might take a few attempts to make sure your legs aren’t visible, but it’s pretty simple.

Now it will make a lot more sense!
