A MUM has sworn to never get a certain type of house again as she warns it cost her eight months of hell.
Alice, from the UK, revealed she was in a rush to move house with her daughter, so decided to live in the maisonette, which she claims was the worst decision of her life.

Taking to TikTok, the mum said: “Do not move into a maisonette because it’s gonna be the biggest mistake of your f**king life.
“Honest to God take it from me, I was in such a rush to just get out and get somewhere for me and my daughter, it has quite literally been one of the biggest mistakes of my life.”
She said that she only moved into the maisonette at the end of January but was already desperate to get out.
A maisonette is typically a two floor apartment in a larger building that has a separate entrance to others, unlike a block of flats.
While it can offer you more space than a typical flat, Alice says the noise from sharing the building with others is unbearable.
Alice has the upstairs maisonette, and even then the noise from her neighbours is still bad.
She explained her bedroom is directly above their living room, which meant she was constantly woken up.
“I can’t even explain to you the noise that comes from the maisonette downstairs, it’s just insane,” she explained.
“If my neighbours see this I do apologise, but I’ve tried. I’ve tried so many times.”
She said that she was woken early in the morning to the children downstairs jumping on the furniture.
Alice explained: “If that was my child, not a chance in hell would I be allowing her to jump off of furniture and run up and down before 7 a.m.”
“If we lived or if they lived in a house by themselves, absolutely do whatever, make as much noise as you want.
“You’re in a maisonette and they know for a fact that I have my daughter who’s upstairs as well who is trying to sleep.”
Now Alice says she is already looking for a new property to rent as she can’t bear another night in the flat, calling it ‘hell.’
