This looks a great chance for James Owen’s four-year-old who keeps hitting the frame. He clocked a good time when second at Newcastle last time over 1m4f but is happier over this shorter trip. The handicapper has left his mark alone and a repeat would be good enough to strike.
CALAFIORI (2.30 Yarmouth, nb)
Has won two of his past three including with lots left in the tank at Pontefract last time. He has a 6lb penalty for that smooth success but it shouldn’t put the brakes on over the same six-furlong distance.
LUZON HEIGHTS (4.40 Kempton, treble)
Won nicely on the sand at Southwell last time and is capable of following up. The booking of Oisin Murphy can help him past a 5lb rise in the weights.
TRAFALGER (3.30 Yarmouth, Lucky 15)
He clocked a personal best when beaten less than a length at Bath last time. He’s at his best over this trip and will enjoy the decent conditions.
