‘Woke virus’: Elon Musk takes swipe at Trevor Noah

Elon Musk has criticised Trevor Noah for being too “woke” after the latter joked about the death of US conservative Charlie Kirk.

The South African comedian courted controversy after he made light of the moment the right-wing activist was shot and killed in public.

Like Trevor, Elon was born in South Africa and now lives in the US.

ELON MUSK RESPONDS TO TREVOR NOAH’S JOKE’

This week, Trevor Noah was criticised by social media users over a clip of him mocking Charlie Kirk’s death.

Trevor was accused of not only being insensitive, but “racist too”.

X user @DrewPavlou retweeted the clip, adding: “Trevor Noah migrated to America as a 27-year-old from a poverty-stricken disaster zone s**t hole with a murder rate 7 times higher than the US.

“He then proceeds to joke about conservative Americans with 400 years of family history in the country getting shot in the head. Stop trying to Third Worldify America. Have some humility”.

Elon Musk seemingly agreed with the tweep’s opinion, accusing Trevor Noah of being a far-left supporter.

He responded: “Trevor was lauded for being a libtard cuck for so long that he hasn’t realized that he stopped being funny.

He added, “The guy actually has talent, but he needs to get the woke virus out of his brain.”

WHAT DID SOUTH AFRICAN COMEDIAN SAY ABOUT CHARLIE KIRK?

Speaking at a stand-up comedy show in New York this week, Trevor Noah claimed he was warned not to make jokes about Charlie Kirk’s death.

The US conservative was shot at close range whilst speaking at a rally at Utah Valley University.

In the clip, Trevor says, “I wasn’t going to say anything about Charlie Kirk….but now you’ve tested me. You can’t say there’s nothing funny about it. As a comedian, I’m sure there is something funny about it.

He continued: “The guy was shot while defending guns. Do you understand how I’m not even writing that as a joke? As a human, you have to admit that it is an incongruous, funny thing that happens.

Ironically, Charlie Kirk was engaging with the crowd – answering a question about his pro-gun views – when student Tyler Robinson fatally shot him.
