THE Women’s Super League clash between Arsenal and Brighton was stopped for 10 MINUTES after a shocking head injury.
Maelys Mpome was defending a cross in the second half in front of the away fans when the ball clattered her directly in the face.

The Seagulls star was left down on the Emirates turf in a heap as physio’s rushed over to treat her.
The French defender was placed into a neck brace and placed onto a stretcher.
In concerning scenes she was stretchered off the pitch under a hammock with an oxygen tank attached to her.
Brighton’s social media account said of the injury: “After a lengthy pause in play, Maelys has been stretchered off after initially receiving medical attention on the pitch.
“Wishing you a speedy recovery, Maelys.”
