Actor Ethan Suplee is best known for roles in American History X, The Wolf of Wall Street, and My Name Is Earl.
He first started struggling with his weight when he was just five years old, when he would binge eat.
By the age of 10 he was put on a diet after weighing more than 14 stone.
As well as struggling with an eating disorder, he also used food, alcohol and drugs to “numb” himself throughout his teenage years.
He embarked on his fitness journey in 2002, a year after he met his now-wife.
Ethan who also starred in Boy Meets Girl had to use weighing scales at a shopping centre because the scales in the doctor’s surgery didn’t go high enough.
But by the time he hit the red carpet for Unstoppable in 2010, he had already shed more than 200 pounds.
On Friday, Ethan showcased the results of his hard work and an impressive 300lb weight loss.
Dressed in a black T-shirt and matching pants, his transformation was jaw dropping as he reunited with his My Name Is Earl co-star Jaime Pressly reports The Mail.
The star regularly shares impressive before and after snaps from his weight loss journey with fans on Instagram.
He also documented his fitness journey on his American Glutton podcast.
In 2020 he told US TV show People that his wife was the reason for him shedding the pounds.
“I became, for the first time in my life, kind of interested in the future and having experiences with her,” he said.
“Like spending a day walking around a museum or going on a trip or hiking that I just wasn’t physically able to do.”
In May this year he told Men’s Health that he wanted to “hit 10 percent body fat”, and added that he’s “within reach” of that goal.
He ditched diets and focused on strength training and focused on healthy eating, rather than cutting out food groups.
Ethan admitted that after spending 40 years refusing to take his shirt off in public, he proudly posed for the men’s magazine.
“The shadows haven’t been enhanced. There’s loose skin. There are scars. This is who I am.”
The actor said that the weight loss hasn’t made him happier, but told People: “I just think that achieving something I set out to achieve has given me this volume of happiness that is pretty great.”
