But host Matt Tebbutt, 51, was absent from the most recent episode of Saturday Kitchen and was replaced by The One Show‘s Alex Jones.
Presenter Naga remarked: “We’re with you until 10 o’clock this morning and then Saturday Kitchen takes over and at the helm is Alex Jones.“
She quipped: “Hello, what an improvement. Don’t tell Matt I said that.”
A shocked Alex gasped: “Naga, she went straight in, good to see you, how are you both?”.
Naga answered: “Very, very well, Now, I am so not used to to seeing someone wearing something other than dark blue denim.
“It looks wonderful. What have you got Alex?”.
The Welsh broadcaster giggled and said she had a wonderful selection of people on the show.
The line-up included chefs Bryn Williams, Andi Oliver and Ranveet Gill and special guest Ben Elton.
As his food hell, Ben decided on sweet potatoes and said he didn’t like them particularly when they pretended to be potatoes.
And for heaven it was classic proper fish and chips with batter which he hoped the viewers would vote for.
Earlier this month, MasterChef fans were thrilled as Matt was lined up to replace Gregg Wallace on MasterChef: The Professionals.
Taking to Instagram, the show’s account confirmed Saturday Kitchen’s Matt Tebbutt will replace him on the show.
The post captioned: “We’re delighted to announce that @matt.tebbutt is joining @marcuswareing and @galettigram as a judge on the next series of #MasterChefTheProfessional.”
“Welcome to the #MasterChefUK family, Matt.”
One fan wrote: “We love Matt. You only realise how good he is on Sat Kitchen when he isn’t there and someone else fills in.”
Another added: “Matt is not just a chef or a TV presenter.
“He’s a down to earth, funny and unpretentious bloke who likes people. Great choice.”
Long-time presenters Gregg and John Torode were both axed from presenting future series.
A report revealed more than 40 historic complaints against Gregg had been upheld, along with a claim that John once used a racist term.
