A FORMER I’m A Celeb star has announced the happy news he’s engaged to his girlfriend.
The comedian – who starred on I’m A Celebrity… in 2017 – shared his personal triumph in a series of amusing posts.

TV star Iain Lee – who has been dating broadcaster and teacher Katherine Boyle for a few years – took to Instagram and shared a cute photo of the loved-up duo during a romantic summer trip to Italy, with Katherine showing off the sparkler.
The 52-year-old wrote: “In case you’re wondering, as l’m sure everyone is, I proposed to @katherine_e_boyle on August 12th on Lake Como and for some strange reason she said yes.
“This is seconds after it happened. We received a tepid round of applause from the person you can see faintly in the background.”
He continued alongside a photo of the pair – with him pulling an alarmed face: “That’s the face of terror of a man about to propose.”
Iain told his future wife: “I love you and can’t wait to be your husband.”
Fans commented: “Congratulations wonderful people! Delighted for you both!”
Another added: “After hearing the way you spoke about her on the podcast with Matt Willis – this is really nice to see. That podcast episode as a whole was so important to me by the way, thanks for doing it! Also, congratulations.”
A third praised: “Congrats, you’re an absolute legend btw.”
EastEnders star Shane Richie commented: “Big congratulations to you both.”
Iain shares two boys with his broadcaster ex wife Helena Wilkinson.
Over two decades on from fronting an iconic Channel 4, Iain is set to make a comeback with the 90s show.
The 11 O’Clock Show was fronted by the TV and radio presenter over 25 years ago.
The star recently confessed he is determined to bring it back and it is in “his power” to make it happen.
He has ‘already begun’ to reconnect with those who worked on the show in 1999 and hopes to have the new series on air in 2026.
The show first launched in 1998 before coming to a close just two years later.
While it had a number of presenters across its five-series run, Iain hosted the first four of them and was largely credited with its success.
It is known for launching the careers of stars including Sacha Baron Cohen and his character Ali G as well as Ricky Gervais.
He previously revealed how his jealousy towards former TV colleagues Ricky and Sacha drove him to drink and drugs.
Iain worked alongside Daisy Donovan for three editions of the show.
Jon Homes and Sarah Alexanders took over for the final series of the show before it was axed.
After its success, Iain focused on radio broadcasting and could be heard across many major networks.
He took part in I’m A Celebrity in 2017 but later took a step back from media work in 2020 to focus on training to become a counsellor.
Iain was previously forced to deny claims Rebekah Vardy bullied him in the I’m a Celeb jungle.
The TV star and columnist rubbished the claims and went onto share screenshots of her messages with Iain.
Iain was later inspired to follow his new career path after struggles with addiction, sobriety and his sexuality.
