Secret celeb vapers revealed – from the A-lister who now needs dental work to wholesome Loose Women star

WE’VE all seen people vape, but there’s something rather shocking about seeing an A-lister puff away on a Lost Mary.

While we are used to seeing them dressed to the nines on the red carpet, off-duty, many celebrities ditch their glamorous arm candy for a hit of nicotine.

From A-list actors to humble Tv presenters, here’s who can’t resist a vape[/caption]

And it seems there are many famous faces hiding their vaping habit from the public, or at least trying to.

According to WHO (World Health Organisation) over 100 million people use e-cigarettes and more than half of vapers are those who have quit cigarettes.

From Maura Higgins stock-piling vapes to Kylie Jenner’s vapour tricks – we look at the picture-perfect celebs caught having a sneaky puff.

Prepping for her stint in the jungle for I’m a Celebrity last year, Maura Higgins, 34, was spotted stocking up on her favourite vape.

As she met with her management before flying to Australia, she could be seen with three boxes of a vape from Flum in what appears to be the flavour ‘Ruby Yellow.’

While Maura is clearly partial to a fruity vapouriser, she is also still spotted with an old school cigarette, so it’s likely she dabbles in both.

The Game of Thrones star has been caught vaping numerous times – whether it’s on the streets of London or enjoying a 5-star holiday in Portofino, Italy.

Emilia has never addressed her habit, but clearly she’s also a victim of the new smoking trend and it seems fans aren’t happy about it.

Taking to X, one wrote: “Smoking is a bad advert, shes better than this.”

Another penned: “I’m so disappointed that she smokes/vapes. I thought she didn’t.”

Katie Piper admitted to being a secret vaper – even hiding it from her husband[/caption]

While there’s no photographic evidence of Katie Piper vaping, she did recently confess to her addiction.

The Loose Woman panellist admitted she was so secretive of her cravings that she even hid it from her husband by puffing away in their downstairs toilet.

Speaking on an ITV podcast, Katie said she would sneak a vape from her husband, Richard Sutton, who she wed in 2015 after she quit smoking.

She explained: “Richie hates it. Honestly.

“One of his conditions when he first started dating me was that I quit smoking. So actually, I quit.

“So then I had to go downstairs, get the vape out of my clutch bag and vape in the downstairs loo in the house.”

The 4 horrifying things that can happen to your body after vaping

VAPES were once hailed as miracle devices to help adults ditch cigarettes.

But while the devices don’t carry the same risks as tobacco, experts have warned that vaping might not be so harmless after all.

Here are five ways vaping could damage young users bodies:

1. It could slow down brain development

Vaping nicotine can permanently affect brain development in people under the age of 25, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

It said that nicotine consumed during teenage years can harm the parts of the brain that control attention, learning, mood, and impulse control, as well as increase the risk of addiction.

2. It could lead to tooth decay

Dr Michael Heffernan, a dentist at The Wessex Dental Specialist Care, said most vapes contain dangerous chemical that can harm your teeth and lead to decay.

Puffing on the devices could also lead to mouth dryness, creating an environment in which harmful bacteria can grow.

3. It could damage heart health

However, some of the chemicals found in vapes can be damaging to the heart, with the American Heart Association (AHA) stating that vaping is “as harmful to the body’s cardiovascular systems as cigarettes”.

4. It could cause lung disease

Vaping from a young age could leave children with breathing difficulties, with paediatric respiratory consultant Dr Mike McKean saying he’d seen reports of people developing lung disease related to vaping.

Researchers from the US also found that young people who vape are more at risk of bronchitis, inflammation of the airways, and shortness of breath.

Actress Lily James revealed she needed a filling after getting addicted to ‘sugary’ vapes[/caption]

Mamma Mia actress, Lily James, 36, has frequently been spotted with a flavoured e-cigarette and was recently spotted vaping on set of her latest film Swiped.

However, the Hollywood actress recently revealed it had ruined her teeth.

“I prided myself that I’d never had a filling,” Lily told the Daily Mail.

“I did just recently get one – I was so upset. Apparently, it’s from flavoured vapes, which are full of sugar. They f**cked my teeth.”

While Lily has now had to undergo dental work because of her habit, she hasn’t confirmed if she’s given them up for good.

While most e-cigarettes don’t actually contain sugar, the sweet flavourings are acidic and erode enamel, leaving your teeth more vulnerable to decay.

Katy Perry says pregnancy stopped her addicitons, like vaping[/caption]

The pop star has been caught smoking numerous times over the years.

In September 2013, she was spotted smoking what looked like an electric cigarette while enjoying a bottle of beer.

But it seems that since becoming a parent with her husband Orlando Bloom, Katy has ditched the habit.

The 40-year-old thanked her pregnancy in 2020 for getting rid of her addictions on Australia‘s Fifi, Fev & Byron show.

Katy said: “I’m still maintaining the balance, I’m not running myself ragged and I’m not at the club…

“When you stop drinking and smoking and start creating a baby your body is like ‘Well thanks for treating me nice for one day.’

“Usually I’m a dry martini in and [my body] is like “Please can I have a dirty, an extra dirty martini!’”

The Kardashians are well known for keeping their image as squeaky clean as they possibly can.

But the youngest of the bunch, Kylie Jenner, 27, is open to sharing her naughty side on Snapchat.

Just last year, the mum-of-two filmed herself in her car smoking a vape.

Not only that, but she showed off her impressive smoking skills blowing out rings.

While she may not show it on other platforms, her Snapchat has become a hotspot for showing off her technique.

Katie Price vowed to stop this year but hasn’t yet[/caption]

The former glamour model and TV personality has been seen puffing her vape on social media over the past year.

The 46-year-old vowed to quit in January this year due to her mum’s IPF diagnosis and lung transplant in 2023.

Taking to Instagram, Katie Price said: “I have a big confession to make, and if there’s anyone out there who wants to join me, do it.

“I’ve been vaping for a year, and it’s no good for you – especially when my mum has had a lung transplant. It’s disrespectful doing this in front of my mum.

“I’ve decided that today is the day I am throwing this battery, chemical, addictive, horrible thing away. I am now doing vapes no more from today.

“I’ve got the strength to get rid of them. Join me. It’s going in the bin, that’s it. I’ve cleared all of my vapes out of the car and everything.”

However, earlier this month she shared a YouTube video of her sitting in her front room and it seemed she hadn’t given up just yet.

She chatted with her sister Sophie while niece Olive, four months, was asleep on her lap.

Katie leaned back and took a puff of her vape – ensuring not to directly vape into the newborn’s face – which her sister Sophie seemed completely unfazed by.

But the NHS advises not to vape near children.

She was also seen last week tight-faced from surgery as she puffed on a vape during an outing in Cheshire during Panto rehearsals.

Eastenders actor and husband to Stacey Solomon, Joe Swash has been seen enjoying the occasional vape.

He snuck out of the RTS Awards where his wife picked up a gong for her show, Sort Your Life Out.

While outside, he gave his suit jacket to Stacey to keep her warm.

Stacey – who is also a secret smoker – chatted with him and a pal outside the venue, following her huge success.

While vaping isn’t something we suggest you do, the legendary Hollywood actor has become an icon for vaping in places he shouldn’t.

Leonardo DiCaprio used to be snapped with a cigarette often but swapped it out for a vape several years ago.

He was pictured in 2014 vaping at his table at the Oscars awards ceremony but the act was banned inside this year.

And it’s not the first time he’s been seen puffing away at an awards ceremony.

Back in 2016 when he won his first SAG award for The Revenant, he was seen enjoying himself with his vaporiser.

The British singer had often been spotted with a cigarette in her early days but has also switched to a vape in recent years.

She was spotted at the  Cheltenham Racecourse in 2019 puffing away on a fruit flavoured one.

Last year in Tuscany, she was seen with the vape relaxing by the pool as well.

But Lily got in trouble when she was the face of vaping brand Vype and promoted it on Instagram.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) received complaints about seven Vype posts in 2019, three of which featured captioned pictures of singer Lily Allen which were ultimately taken down.

Sophie Turner revealed how vaping helped her in acting roles[/caption]

Ever since her rise to fame in Game of Thrones, Sophie Turner has been a vaper.

One behind-the-scenes image saw her smoking on set and she later revealed it was ‘creme brulee’ flavoured.

And she continues to keep up the habit, even saying it helps her get into her roles while filming.

Jennifer Lawrence, who worked with Sophie in X-Men told chat show host Jimmy Kimmel: “I teared up a little bit watching Sophie in that scene.

“It was so honest and real, and it’s because she really was crying because her dialect coach, right before the take, took her Juul away…She started genuinely tearing up. It was like the performance of the year. It was amazing.”

The former Deputy Prime Minister is often caught having a secret vape while at work.

The 47-year-old was spotted vaping just outside her London property and admits her habit has taken over.

Back in 2023, Angela admitted that her children called her a ‘vape dragon.’

Speaking to Sky News she said: “I wish I could give up vaping. I’m going to do my utmost to make sure that I do that.

And young people need to know that vaping is not a way forward and they should not get addicted to it because it is incredibly addictive and costly as well. So they need to stop.”

The British supermodel was spotted puffing away on a vape back at a Knicks game in 2014.

The 32-year-old has previously spoken about her battle with addiction in recent years.

Speaking to The Sunday Times last year, Cara said: “I used to think drugs and alcohol helped me cope… but they didn’t, they kept me sad and super depressed.

“I feel like I’ve got my power back and I’m not being controlled by other things.”

Kate Garraway admits that vaping is too addictive[/caption]

TV presenter Kate Garraway was caught vaping back in 2019 while attending Wimbledon after she quit smoking

The mum-of-two had started vaping in 2009 after she gave birth to her son, but decided to ditch the habit for good when she had a stint in the jungle for I’m a Celebrity.

But in 2023, her desire to vape returned, as Kate explained: “I think we had some props in here or something ridiculous, and I picked it up and I was instantly addicted, like beyond anything!

“I couldn’t believe it and it made me realise how, particularly those disposable ones, are so addictive.”

Kate admitted to “hating” herself for it, as she told her co-stars: “The last thing I want to do is in any way sanction [vaping], because I don’t now.

“But my experience was, after Billy was born, I did smoke before and I was craving going back to smoking [but] didn’t want to.

“I thought [vaping] was amazing, because it didn’t smell, at that point you could do it anywhere, it must have been like smoking in the ’70s, you didn’t have to stand outside.

“Everybody said it was better for you, and I did feel much better. I got the nicotine hit.”

Kate then switched to chewing gums and sprays instead to satisfy her cravings, before going on I’m A Celeb.
