Venue bosses objected to her presentation branding it ‘borderline pornographic’[/caption]

The 44-year-old had led the recent WILD&WILD event at the venue in Alderley Park.

But bosses objected to part of 45-minute presentation where Dunn used a pole in her gym gear before inviting members of the audience to take part.

Dunn also delivered a presentation of her journey which contained images of her family as well as her performing a pole fitness routine.

Despite attendees enjoying the talk, event organisers were left “confused and embarrassed” after a member of staff objected.

Furious, they demanded the demonstration be stopped claiming a complaint was received from another convention taking place at the same time.

Dunn was told her demonstration was “inappropriate” leaving her “floored”.

‘My talk at WILD & WILD was about empowerment about self-worth, autonomy and challenging outdated narratives and it was received with warmth and positivityby every woman in that room,’ she told the MailOnline.

‘The fact that a senior female representative at Alderley Park chose to label professional fitness imagery as ‘pornographic’ shows how deeply ingrained the stigma around women’s bodies still is.”

She added that pole fitness was an “artistic sport” and wasn’t something to be “sexualised or censored”.

After the event, the group were told they would be banned from the venue in the future.
