Married At First Sight fans convinced groom’s mum secretly ‘hates’ son’s wife after fans spot huge ‘clue’

MARRIED At First Sight fans are convinced Joe’s mum secretly “hates” his wife Maeve after spotting a huge clue.

As in-laws week continues, Joe’s mum Bridget visited her son and new daughter-in-law Maeve at their apartment.

But some E4 viewers insisted that Joe’s mum wasn’t sold on Maeve

Things started off well as Joe praised Maeve as “supportive” and the “life and soul of the party”.

Bridget said: “You’ve got a lot of similarities, you’re well matched.”

This lead to the pair to confess that they’ve fallen in love.

Bridget then asked what the future holds for them after the experiment.

Maeve said: “We’ve just said we’re taking it a day at a time, we’ve got so much to go through.

“But I’d like to think there is some sort of future.”

Joe said: “She lives two hours away, she’s got a kid as well. We don’t really think of that, right now we enjoy the moment.”

But Bridget didn’t look impressed with her son’s answer and looked worried.

Maeve then left the flat to allow her husband and his mum to speak.

Bridget asked what her son really thought of the relationship, to which Joe said: “It’s actually moved a lot quicker than I thought.

“I certainly didn’t think I was going to tell someone that I love them.

“But that is a thought in my mind, is it a bubble that we’ve creating this bond we’ve got.

“We’re going to have to start thinking about real life stuff.”

His mum then said that he needs to start thinking seriously about where he plans to live after the experiment, especially as she has a child and won’t be able to relocate.

Joe expressed: “The only thing I would say is, I’m so much more settled now than I’ve ever been, at home, where I’m working.

“I need to keep that in mind.”

Bridget looked uneasy as her son explained his future plans.

E4 viewers were quick to pick up on this and said they believe she’s not Maeve’s biggest fan.

One said: “Mama is NOT happy Joe.”

“His mum hates her,” a second posted.

A third commented: “Joe’s mum doesn’t look 100 per cent happy or convinced.”

A fourth said: “Wish Joe’s mum had got to spend more time with both him and Maeve. If she saw some of the things we’ve seen, I think she’d be happier about them.

It comes after Joe was left in tears during the latest commitment ceremony as he opened up about his past alcohol battle.

The tattooed personal trainer struggled to hold it together as he spoke to the experts about his relationship.

Discussing how his and Maeve’s marriage has been over the last three weeks, Joe told his wife: “This is why I feel the way I do about you because you just have my back so much, that’s why I feel so strong about you.”

Maeve was seen giggling as he confessed his feelings for her.

He continued: “You’re such a great person,” before breaking down in tears on the sofa.

Maeve sweetly comforted him, before he said: “I’ve just found the whole thing quite overwhelming, the whole process, that’s where she’s been such a solid rock for me.”

Joe, who previously admitted he’s enjoyed a very wild party lifestyle, continued: “She knows what I’ve been through in the past with the booze and what have you.

“She’s just been so reliable and so strong for me, she’s literally got a heart of gold.

“That’s why I’m getting emotional because I’ve never met someone that’s so selfless in a relationship.”

Maeve and Joe failed to hit it off on their wedding day, but things turned around on their honeymoon and they became the first couple to romp.
