When is The Celebrity Traitors on?

The Celebrity Traitors premieres at 9pm on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

The series kicks off with an extra-long 70 minute episode and will air twice weekly, on Wednesday and Thursday evenings on BBC One and iPlayer.

Claudia Winkleman is back on hosting duties, and the show returns to Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands — the same scary location used civilian editions.

Claudia told the BBC: “We’re incredibly lucky these brilliant people have said yes.

“I’d love to say we’ll take it easy on them and they’ll just wander round the castle and eat toast for a couple of weeks but that would be a lie.”

The Traitors has been on TV since 2022, but this is the very first celebrity version.

It runs for nine episodes, concluding with the grand final on Friday, October 31, 2025.

What is The Celebrity Traitors prize money?

In the most recent UK civilian edition of The Traitors — the third series, which aired in early 2025 — the maximum available prize pot was up to £120,000.

The amount contestants could win depended on their success in completing daily missions.

Ultimately, the players completed challenges and built the final prize pot up to £94,600.

This money was shared by the two remaining Faithfuls, Leanne and Jake, who successfully identified the final Traitor Charlotte Berman.

The previous Traitors series ended in January 2025.

The maximum available prize pot in The Celebrity Traitors is £100,000.

Unlike the civilian version, where contestants take home the cash themselves, the celebrities are competing to win the prize for a charity of their choice.

The final amount is determined by the celebrities’ success in completing challenges throughout the series and it is split among the winning players at the end — just like the regular show.
