WORKING from home is something many more of us have been doing since the Covid pandemic.
But staying focused — especially with kids in the house — can sometimes be trickier than in an office.

Working from home is something many more of us have been doing since the Covid pandemic, but kids can make it hard work. Our tips can help you stay focused[/caption]
Here are some no-cost tips for staying on top of tasks and working to your best . . .
FIND SPACE: Create a clutter-free area where you sit down each day to do your work.
This could be at a dining table or a dedicated desk.
You can often pick up furniture such as desks or tables free on second-hand selling sites like Facebook Marketplace.
ROUTINE: One of the notorious benefits of working from home is that you can do so in your pyjamas.
But having a shower and getting ready for the day as though you were going into an office can help put you in a more work-orientated mindset.
Creating a routine for yourself when working often means you will be less likely to put tasks off and waste time.
So know exactly when you need to sit down and be ready to start working.
BREAK TIME: Make sure you take a proper break away from your workspace at periodic times of the day.
Going outside for fresh air is always a good idea to give your body and mind a little reset.
Take advantage of being home, and make yourself a tasty and nutritious lunch. It’s also much cheaper than you would get on the go.
ALTERNATIVE OFFICE: If you’re still finding it tricky to work from home, heading to a different space can help.
Local libraries offer spaces where people can work for free. Or many coffee shops are happy to accommodate home workers.
For example, most Costa Coffees offer free wifi so customers can work.
Check out the wifi situation in advance if you are relying on connection, as some spaces work better than others.
