SPRINGBOK NEETHLING FOUCHE SHARES SON’S HEALTH UPDATE
Last month, Neethling Fouche encouraged his Instagram followers to pray for his infant son, Pelser. The seventh-month-old had been diagnosed with a “dangerous” form of infantile epilepsy
This is a dangerous, weird type of epilepsy among infants.
He posted: “Our doctor shared the bad news with us last night that Pelser is not responding to his medication. She sketched a dark picture about the long term if we can’t stop his epilepsy. We have been in the hospital for 3 weeks now and are mentally tired.
“We come to ask from a very desperate and dark place for prayer. We pray specifically for a breakthrough, a miracle!”
A few weeks later, Fouche revealed how that miracle had come true.
The family visited their local church, Hillsong Stellenbosch, where they received life-changing prayer
According to Fouche, baby Pelzer never had another epileptic seizure again and was given a clean bill of health at a follow-up doctor’s appointment.
He shared on Instagram: “Our boy was touched by the Holy Spirit!”
WAITING ON ANOTHER MIRACLE?
Meanwhile, Neethling Fouche shared news of his own health – a broken arm suffered during a recent Stormers game.
The 32-year-old posted a picture of himself in a hospital bed with the caption: “Will be cheering on the Stormers boys from the side for a while”.
It’s unclear how long his recovery will take.
