THE Traitors has now appeared over 30 countries since its initial release, so it is time for it’s next step… a celebrity version.
It’s safe to say that previous contestants have entered the realm of celebrity since leaving the show, with previous winner Harry Clarke having recently released his own book.
However now the tables have turned, it begs the question how will this change the dynamic of the show the nation can’t stop watching?

The new celebrity edition of the iconic show boasts a stellar line-up including Stephen Fry, Celia Imrie, Jonathan Ross, and Clare Balding.
Claudia Winkleman is returning for hosting duties on which will be her fourth series in the presenter role.
There is a lot up for grabs with the winner receiving £100,000 to go towards a charity of their choosing.

Who is Celebrity Traitors star Tameka Empson?
Tameka Empson is an actress and comedian from London.
She joined EastEnders in 2009, playing the role of Denise Fox’s half-sister, Kim.
The actress has appeared in the long-running soap for 15 years, picking up several awards for the role during this time, including Best Comedy performance at the 2022 British Soap Awards.
She had her breakout role as neighbour Leah in the film ‘Beautiful Thing’.
This was followed by TV and theatre roles including 3 Non Blondes and being a member of the original cast of ‘Our House’, a musical based on music by ska/pop band Madness.

When was Tameka Empson on Strictly?
The Eastenders star graced the Strictly dancefloor in 2016 and was partnered up with professional dancer Gorka Márquez.
She managed to make it to Week 3, where she bowed out after she lost the dance-off to presenter Laura Whitmore and her partner Giovanni Pernice.
After her shock exit she confirmed that she wasn’t going to give up what she had learnt; “I’m going to keep dancing. I love it. I love the whole process.”
When is Celebrity Traitors on?
The highly anticipated celebrity version of The Traitors will be available on BBC One and iPlayer starting October 8th.
The series will air two nights a week, on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 9 pm.
The date of the finale is yet to be confirmed.
