The airline already connects the UK to India with routes to Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai.
However, the additional route will mean more flight options for Brits wanting to visit the famous city.
British Airways boss Sean Doyle said: “Our ties with India were established over 100 years ago and today we have around 2,500 British Airways colleagues based there.
“We’ve been steadily increasing capacity between the UK and India over the years and we’re now operating 56 direct services to five Indian cities each week.
Delhi is one of the world’s busiest cities, but is one of the popular destinations Brits fly to when exploring the Golden Triangle.
Tripadvisor‘s Travellers‘ Choice Awards for 2025 also named Delhi as one of the Best Culture Destinations.
It’s affordable too – Delhi was named one of the best value, long-haul holiday destinations by the Post Office earlier this year.
The Indian city made the top ten, behind Sri Lanka and Japan.

Coming in eight, Delhi worked out to £85.89 on average.
Earlier this year, Virgin Atlantic celebrated 25 years of flying to India.
And Indian airline IndiGo launched its first UK flight to India earlier this year from Manchester.
It has since added a new route from London Heathrow to Mumbai.
India is also now much easier to visit for Brits.
New rules introduced this month will now allow tourists to apply for an e-visa before they travel.
What it’s like to travel India by train
Our week-long trip on the the Maharajas’ Express began with a red carpet, flower garlanded, musical welcome in Delhi where we joined the luxury train, each cabin with en suite facilities.
Feeling like Maharajas we ate dinner in the beautiful dining car, with its white linen, gold crockery and wonderful service.
This is a bucket-list journey — not cheap but an incredible way to see India where the dirt, noise and madness of the cities is in utter contrast to the peace and opulence on board the train.
After a few glasses of wine and a nightcap in the Safari Bar, it was off to bed.
The movement of the train was quite bumpy, and I remember thinking I’d never get to sleep.
Next thing, my butler was knocking to wake me up with a pot of tea for our early start to see the Taj Mahal.
This iconic monument to a beloved wife never fails to amaze with its tranquil beauty and moving love story.
Allowed to be applied for up to 72 hours before entering the country, it will replace the often-long-winded process of filling out forms on the plane or at the airport.
