A WOMAN has shared the savvy way she gets her laundry dry overnight even in the cold months.
Lauren Preece, from the UK, took to social media to share her laundry revelation just in time for winter.

Here’s how you can get your laundry dry overnight and beat mould[/caption]
Like most of us, Lauren struggled to get her washing clean and dry in a reasonable time in the cooler months.
The summer makes it easy to get clothes dry quickly, but when the weather is cold and damp, it can take days.
That means you often run out of space in the house as laundry takes over.
But Lauren had finally found a solution and it didn’t just get her clothes dry, it helped combat mould in the house.
She wrote: “Omg I purchased my first ever dehumidifier yesterday with a laundry mode for that purpose exactly.
“Put washing on the airer last night and [it was] dry by this morning.
“Normally takes two days plus to dry.”
Lauren revealed that she purchased the MeacoDry 12L Arete One Dehumidifier & Air Purifier which costs £160 from the MEaco website.
Not only does the dehumidifier have an advanced setting for laundry, the product helps stop mould.
Dehumidifiers can collect condensation in the house which can turn into mould.
It works by drawing in moisture from the air, and cooling it, so it’s collected as water that can then be drained out.
The post was shared on the Facebook group, Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips, and was a hit with members.
Many took to the comments claiming they also used the machine and that it was a ‘game changer.’
One person wrote: “Best thing I ever bought.”
Another commented: “I bought one, and it’s a game changer!”
“It has been a massive game changer in our house,” penned a third.
More winter laundry tips
Tackling laundry in the winter can be a challenge, but these handy tips can help you stay on top of it:
- Use a Dehumidifier: Place a dehumidifier in your drying area to speed up the drying process and prevent dampness.
- Spin Cycle Boost: Run an extra spin cycle on your washing machine to remove excess water from clothes, reducing drying time.
- Indoor Drying Rack: Invest in a good-quality indoor drying rack and position it near a radiator or in a well-ventilated room.
- Tumble Dryer Balls: Add tumble dryer balls to your dryer to help clothes dry faster and reduce static cling.
- Space-Saving Hangers: Use space-saving hangers or a retractable washing line to maximise indoor drying space.
- Microfibre Towels: Lay microfibre towels over your drying rack to absorb extra moisture from hanging clothes.
- Partially Dry Outside: On dry days, hang clothes outside for a short period before bringing them in to finish drying.
These hacks can help you keep your laundry routine efficient and your clothes fresh, even during the colder months.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “I honestly wouldn’t be without mine.”
“Best product I bought too, fantastic for drying washing,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “They’re brilliant. I’ve had one for a few years now and it’s the best thing I’ve ever bought. Only bought as putting washing on my radiators and the water would run of my windows.”
