Chaos on British Airways flight after it suffers TWO mishaps as ex-Vice Air Marshal dies & pregnant woman suffers scare

A BRITISH Airways flight was forced to make an emergency landing when an ex-Air Marshal died and a pregnant woman suffered a health scare.

The plane, jetting off from London Heathrow on route to Nigeria, quickly descended into chaos around two hours into the journey on Sunday.

The aircraft was due to land at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, in Abuja at around 5am on Monday, but diverted to Barcelona.

A retired military chief, 80, was returning home after receiving cancer treatment in the UK.

But as reported by Nigerian media, panic ensued when he became critically ill on board and tragically died.

Meanwhile, a pregnant woman was also rushed off the plane upon landing after suffering a medical episode.

BA has apologised to flyers, after landing in Abuja the following day.

The Sun contacted British Airways for comment.

This comes after we reported last month how a Ryanair flight was forced to divert after boozed up Brits wreaked havoc on way to a stag do.

Footage showed gun-wielding officers tackling the allegedly drunk men after they became rowdy during the flight.

The Ryanair plane was reportedly flying to Alicante but was forced to make an emergency landing after two yobs allegedly started a fight.

After repeated warnings from members of the cabin crew, cops were called in to haul the allegedly drunk men off the flight.

Shocking videos revealed cops hauling at least six blokes off the plane.

Elsewhere, a disruptive passenger was “dragged off” a plane after pilots were forced to make an unscheduled landing.

The Corfu-bound easyJet plane took off from Manchester, but was forced to land in Milan where Italian police removed the “disruptive” passenger.

The video footage – filmed by a fellow passenger – shows police officers escorting the man through the plane.

Surrounding passengers started clapping and cheering, with multiple people being heard thanking the police.

A woman was also reportedly escorted off the flight after the man, holding a bottle of vodka as she departed.

Passengers said the man had become troublesome throughout the journey.

A stewardess was attempting to restrain him; however, he reportedly kept “wobbling backwards and forwards” in his seat.

Meanwhile, just days ago another Ryanair plane was forced to abort landing in Storm Amy’s 90mph winds.

The dramatic footage showed the pilot unable to land the aircraft at Dublin Airport on Friday.
