South African musician Yvonne Chaka Chaka and her husband are celebrating their 36th wedding anniversary today, 7 October 2025.
To mark this milestone, Chaka Chaka expressed her gratitude to her husband for being a loving partner and father.
“36 years ago on this day we said yes. Thank you for being a good friend and father to our children. Siguga Sonke. God is good, and he is our Rock,” she wrote.
Yvonne Chaka Chaka married Dr Mandlalele Mhinga in 1989, and they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in October 2019. The couple shares four sons.
Over the years, Yvonne has often credited her husband with keeping her youthful, allowing her the freedom to be herself and pursue her passions.
Together, they run a limousine company, and Dr Mhinga has been a steady support throughout her career and personal life. He has also maintained a private profile away from the public eye.
