A THIS Morning star has sensationally revealed that he was asked to go on The Celebrity Traitors but had to turn it down.
Martin Lewis appeared on the hit ITV daytime show today when he made a bombshell confession about The Celebrity Traitors.
Speaking to Ben and Cat on the popular show, Martin made the shocking admission about the BBC reality show fronted by Claudia Winkleman.
The confession came after a segment about drinking alchohol before hitting the dancefloor.
Martin said people should never drink before dancing because they would lose their balance.
He then confessed how he used to dance seriously when he was in his 30s.
Ben then said how he sounded like a good fit for Strictly.
“If I had a pound for everytime I’d turned Strictly down, then I’d have four pounds” Martin said.
He went on to say: “If they ask again next year, then I’ll turn them down again.”
Martin then said he had been in discussion to do the Christmas special a few times, but as it’s filmed on a Tuesday night – he cannot do it as that’s when his Money Show is on.
He then sensationally revealed how he was “missing out on The Traitors again” and was forced to turn it down.
He explained how he turned it down, despite “really wanting to do it” because they are filming when his show is on.
As Martin explained, he placed his hands over his face.
“I’m more gutted about Traitors than Strictly to be honest,” he confessed.
Ben then quipped: “Great to know that you’ve confirmed series two of Traitors for us, though.”
Martin snapped back: “I’m not contracted with them.”
How does The Traitors work and who hosts it?
The Traitors first launched in the UK in 2022, after the Dutch format was acquired by the BBC.
Claudia Winkleman is the show’s host, and has now hosted all three series to date.
How does it work?
It is a reality game show that involves 22 contestants, and some of them are chosen to be The Traitors.
The Traitors sees a group of contestants taking part in “the ultimate game of truth and deception”.
The group of contestants are competing for the chance to walk away with a huge cash prize.
While navigating through a series of challenges, the team are also tasked with figuring out who the Traitors are in the group (usually three contestants).
Each night, the Traitors gather to “eliminate” one of the Faithful, removing them from the competition
Meanwhile, the traitors can be “banished” if they’re successfully outed as a traitor by a faithful.
The winners of the show are either the Traitor who remains undetected or the Faithfuls if they successfully eliminate all the Traitors.
The prize sees the winner could get £120K.
He later confirmed: “They are casting for season two of Traitors. I have been asked, and I have said no.”
The Celebrity Traitors is coming to iPlayer and BBC One from October 8, 2025.
The stars for season one of the Celeb version of the hit show include: Alan Carr, Cat Burns, Celia Imrie, Charlotte Church, Clare Balding, David Olusoga, Joe Marler, and Joe Wilkinson.
As well as: Jonathan Ross, Kate Garraway, Lucy Beaumont, Mark Bonnar, Nick Mohammed, Niko Omilana, Paloma Faith, Ruth Codd, Stephen Fry, Tameka Empson and Tom Daley.
When the show drops its first episode on October 8, it will be an extra-long first episode.
The duration of episode one will be 70 minutes of treachery.
The series will air two nights a week, on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 9pm.
