Baasit is apart of the Siddiqui family who are firm favourites on the Channel 4 Show.
The family are from Derby and are Gogglebox regulars who have been giving their hilarious TV commentary since the show began in 2013.
Dad Sid appears with his two sons, Baasit and Umar, whilst his third son Raza makes occasional appearances.
Baasit is an IT teacher and has two children with whom he shares with wife Mel.
The Siddiqui family have a group Instagram account where they regularly share images and updates on of their extended family and Gogglebox moments.
Taking to his joint account Baasit shared a host of pics of him and Mel, who have been together for nearly two decades.
They captioned the post: “13 years married today, 16.5 years together – forever to go.”
“Happy Anniversary to the absolute best, couldn’t do life without you (heart emoji) Love you xxx”
In an updated pic the pair can be seen sitting together on a train whilst another shows them running the London Marathon.
Baasit has previously ran the London marathon twice whilst live streaming it and raising money for his chosen charities.
In some throwback photos Mel, whose hair is currently blonde, is shown as a dark brunette.
The pair shared some heartfelt moments from their wedding day along with a sweet snap of Mel during her pregnancy.
It comes after Channel 4 welcomed five brand-new families to the hit show for its new 26th series.
These included friends Jake and Calum from Glasgow, the Gordon family (Andre, Sarah, and Chee) from Surrey, married couple Andrew and Alfie from The Cotswolds, mother and daughter-in-law Sara and Lara from Yorkshire, and sisters Rosie and Susie from Edinburgh.
They joined the regular Goggleboxers such as Jenny and Lee, the Siddiquis, and the Malones.
But some viewers have struggled to “warm” to the newbies.
One viewer questioned: “Gogglebox why did you feel the need to change things up on a highly popular programme? I just don’t get why commissioners and production companies feel the need to change a winning recipe. The new ingredients haven’t enhanced the dish.”
A second posted: “Gogglebox too many posh families now no fun at all.”
A third said: “I’ve still not warmed to any of the new Goggleboxers,” while another added: “Gogglebox has gone all posh and less diverse.”
