In a shocking twist of events, a MAFS groom has actually said sorry for treating a women badly. Now, this is a surprise. Steven has apologised for the way he behaved towards Nelly this week on MAFS UK.
Steven Springett really hasn’t been a model husband so far on MAFS UK 2025. While his wife Nelly was dealing with a fractured rib, he was getting drunk and telling everyone about other women he’d slept with. He then called her a “f***ing idiot”, and the other MAFS contestants “c**nts”. Lovely.
Until now, Steven hasn’t really taken accountability for his behaviour on the show. He’s just made vague comments on Instagram about how marriage is “not just sunshine & rainbows”. After the dinner party, Steven did also complain “the edit shown in last night’s episode does not reflect the full extent of what I was going through at the time” as he hadn’t seen his children for three weeks and his stepfather was in the hospital.

However, Steven has finally apologised for his behaviour on MAFS UK so far. He admitted in an Instagram post that he acted “like the only c-word in the room”.
“I can only apologise wholeheartedly for my outbursts for this week of filming. Toughest time for me during filming and emotions were running extremely high.The conversation ran deeper BTS with Nelly and I that week.”
Interestingly, he also thanked the MAFS contestants who criticised his behaviour towards Nellie at the dinner party. Steven gave a “shot out” to Leah and Leigh as they “always said it how it is” and to Julia-Ruth for “calling out bad behaviour on the night”.

He also shared their next week on MAFS would be quite different. Steven wrote on Instagram: “The marriage didn’t break and now we look forward to a more positive week seeing the in-laws.”
Meanwhile, Nelly has shared that she felt Steven’s behaviour on MAFS that week “wasn’t the real him”. This is why she decided to “give him the benefit of the doubt, and fight for our marriage”.
