Buscor is inviting eligible students to apply for their bursary programme for the 2026 academic year. This opportunity is open to students residing in Buscor’s operational areas in Mpumalanga.
Bursary Closing Date: 10 October 2025
Location Preference: Mbombela, Nkomazi, and part of Bushbuckridge municipalities, Mpumalanga Province
Field of Study: Any field of study (University or College, full-time)
About the Buscor Bursary Programme
The Buscor Bursary is offered to support youth in Mpumalanga to access higher education opportunities.
Duration: The bursary may run for up to five years, subject to:
- Passing all study years
- Not changing your field of study
- Buscor’s financial position to continue funding
Renewal: Recipients must reapply each year by submitting their academic results.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Reside within Buscor’s operational areas (Mbombela, Nkomazi, or parts of Bushbuckridge)
- Be in Matric (2025) or have already completed Matric
- Achieved at least a “C” symbol in Matric
- Be studying or intending to study full-time at a recognised South African college or university
- Preference will be given to bursary holders who have successfully completed their year of study
Required Documents
Applicants may need to submit the following with their application:
- Certified copy of ID document
- Certified copy of Matric mid-year results (if currently in Matric)
- Certified copy of Matric certificate (if completed)
- Proof of enrolment at a college/university (if available)
- Proof of residence
📌 Note:
- Final Matric results must be submitted by 16 January 2026 if shortlisted.
- Current students must also submit their final 2025 results by 16 January 2026.
- No bursary will be awarded without proof of enrolment.
