Hip-hop mogul sentenced after shocking testimony of abuse, exploitation, and “freak-off” sex marathons

Controversial hip-hop mogul Sean Diddy Combs will be spending more than four years in prison for prostitution-related offences, in a case that was widely spoken about globally for its shocking accounts of violence and fetishistic sex marathons.
Diddy was sentenced by Judge Arun Subramanian on Friday, 03 October 2025. When delivering the sentence, Subramanian said a sentence is required to send a message to abusers and victims that exploitation and violent crimes against women are serious offences that should be met with accountability.
It has not yet been confirmed in which prison Diddy will be serving his sentence. His lawyers reportedly said they will make a recommendation by Monday regarding the prison in which their client wishes to serve his sentence.
The judge can make a recommendation as well, however, the final decision lies with the Bureau of Prisons, as they have to take into account a number of factors including the severity of the offences.
Combs has been held in a Brooklyn prison since his arrest in September 2024.
His convictions stem from long-term relationships with singer Cassie Ventura and two other women who testified under the pseudonyms “Jane” and “Mia.”
The three women testified that they were forced to participate in sex marathons known as “freak-offs” with hired male prostitutes.
They detailed how the “freak-offs” were allegedly directed and filmed by Combs, and said they felt obligated to participate due to ongoing abuse and threats from him.
