New insight has emerged into the investigation of teen Celeste Rivas’s death after a leading criminal defence attorney weighed in on singer D4vd’s link to the case.
D4vd, real name David Anthony Burke, faced intense public attention after police discovered the 15-year-old’s body in the trunk of a Tesla he owns. However, authorities have not named him a suspect, and no arrests have been made.
Speaking to NewsNation’s “Banfield,” criminal defence attorney Alexandra Kazarian said there is currently no evidence linking D4vd to Rivas’s death. She emphasised the importance of remaining silent while the investigation is ongoing.
“He better be shutting his mouth, he better be absolutely quiet. He better be at home wherever he is, doing nothing, not going anywhere, not talking to anybody, and just doing everything that she tells him to do,” Kazarian said, referring to advice likely given to D4vd by his legal team.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet determined Celeste’s official cause of death. The death certificate lists her cause of death as “deferred,” and toxicology results are still pending. Kazarian noted that this uncertainty makes it difficult for the authorities to release definitive information.
“I think the LAPD, especially in cases like this … I think that their PR and their attorneys are telling them to be quiet, too. They just don’t have enough information to give any kind of information out into the public,” she added.
Kazarian further stated that there is no public evidence connecting D4vd to any criminal activity. “How do we know that he had anything to do with that? There’s no evidence against this man for any crime that I can see,” she said.
As the investigation continues, D4vd has retained high-profile attorney Blair Berk, while authorities follow up on leads related to Rivas’s death.
